I think I might write a game instead, it will be less stressful and will stop me from complaining on here. *snip* To save everyone the pain, I've removed what I had originally written here, I think it's for the best. I certainly appreciate your input, so thank you.Įdit: It's no good. I hope I can because I can feel myself getting a little disillusioned with ETS2.

I have a few days to work out if I can get used to the programme or not before the trial expires, so we shall see. I'm pretty sure 99.9% of your users don't have this problem though, so I wouldn't worry about it. In the spline based utility I wrote a while back, you could delete the spline, which would delete the points, or you could delete the points and deleting the last point deleted the spline. This is the part I have to discover and adapt to. Others see a spline as a set of point objects connected by line elements. Some see a spline as an object with a collection of point elements. Zmodeler, I fully understand what you're saying, perception is key. Of course, I could be doing something wrong, but this was my logical approach to creating and deleting splines and points.

Considering I am trying Zmodeler for its prefab editing feature, which relies heavily on splines, this is already a concern. To me, it should be logical that anything you have created, should be able to be deleted in a consistent manner. You will get one point left from the main spline and you won't be able to delete the isolated point either. Go into manipulator mode and then try and delete all the points you have just created using either Modify > Delete or mouse-over and Del. You have to go into Modify > Delete mode, and then it will be deleted.įrom new, create the same spline and point as you did previously. unless it is the last remaining point, in which case, you won't be able to delete it. Yet if you go to a point on the spline you first drew, you can do the same thing, and the point will be deleted. Go into manipulator mode, right-click the isolated point and select Delete and the point will not be deleted. Click the left button once to start a new spline, then click the right button to stop drawing, which will leave a single isolated point. Draw a few segments of a spline and then right-click to stop drawing. Go into Spline mode and choose Create spline by placing points mode. I found something within 5 minutes of using it that already irks me. If things just don't seem logical, then I'll just drop it. So I have an initial frustration phase where I have to try and adapt. The biggest problem I always have, is I approach a new creative tool with an expectation of how I think things should work (or how it would work if I had written something similar), but it rarely does.
